OMD Mug
Objective
To celebrate its first 20 years of activity, OMD, one of the most important agencies specialising in media marketing, wanted to give its employees something that represented the company and all those who worked there.
The company turned to Bassel Moussa, a Syrian graphic designer, who depicted OMD as a party city, with two large hands symbolising the importance of people in corporate activities.
Once the graphic part was outlined, the agency contacted us asking to design a mug that could be customised to enhance this illustration and give it prominence.
Analysis
The product we wanted to create had a specific design, and we decided not to opt for a classic mug, but instead a more original shape, with a pleasant surface to the touch. We chose colours which aligned with Bassel Moussa’s work, which favours the use of white and black.
Design
Starting from these premises, our creative team designed an innovative mug, which was rounder and made from satin ceramic – a refined material which is pleasant to the touch.
The mug was white on the outside and black on the inside which follows Bassel Moussa’s corporate colours and work. The customisation was given through a full-surface ceramic transfer.
Implementation
The finished product has a great impact, with excellent usability and aesthetics.
For the packaging, we created minimalist white cardboard boxes which are suitable for enhancing an authentic designer product.
